As more than 100 Major League Soccer players take to the global stage this summer, five Columbus Crew SC players have been called up to represent their countries in respective international tournaments during the mid-summer break. See below for a match-by-match breakdown of the Black & Gold's upcoming matches.
Jonathan Mensah has been called up to the Ghanaian National Team for the 2019 African Cup of Nations while Zack Steffen, Wil Trapp, andGyasi Zardes received call-ups from the United States Men's National Team ahead of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Additionally, Homegrown Player Aboubacar Keita started five matches for the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team during their recent run to the quarterfinals of the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which ended with a 2-1 loss to Ecuador on Saturday, June 8.

Overall, a total of 103 players representing 35 national teams will play in either international friendlies or tournaments including the Gold Cup, African Cup of Nations, CONMEBOL Copa América 2019, UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifiers, and the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Among the MLS standouts, a record 59 players will play in the Gold Cup, 14 in Euro 2020 Qualifiers, 11 in Copa América, 11 in the U-20 World Cup, four in the Africa Cup of Nations, and another four in competition across Asia and Oceania.
