On Monday, September 23rd, Columbus Crew SC teamed up with Project Healing Waters for the seventh annual Casting with Crew SC event presented by Kroger.
The event was held at Darby Dan Farm in Galloway where Crew SC defender MiltonValenzuela and goalkeeper JonKempin along with Crew SC Alumni, Frankie Hejduk and Dante Washington were each paired up with veterans and a guide from Project Healing Waters. As participants arrived they were invited to enjoy delicious breakfast items provided by Kroger.
Guides from Project Healing Waters fly-fishing provided each team with casting instruction, gear, and assistance. After a morning of fly-fishing, everyone gathered for a group lunch provided by Kroger, where each veteran received a Crew SC gift bag. This event is part of Crew SC’s Give Forward Initiative presented by MAPFRE Insurance.
