Columbus Crew SC's Zack Steffen, Wil Trapp, and Gyasi Zardes each earned a cap in the U.S. Men's National Team's 3-0 win over Panama on Sunday, Jan. 27, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
Steffen recorded his seventh career cap for the Stars and Stripes, putting in 74 minutes before coming off for NYCFC goalkeeper Sean Johnson. Starting alongside Steffen was Zardes, who tallied his 41st career cap. Trapp, who came on as an 84th-minute substitution, garnered his 12th career cap for the MNT.
The defensive highlight of the match came in the 56th minute via Steffen, who parried away a close-range shot towards the far post and out of bounds.
The MNT improved to 13-1-6 all-time against Panama and now turns its attention to Costa Rica on Saturday, Feb. 2 for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff (FOX, UniMás, UDN) at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, Calif as part of the MNT's final friendly in January Camp.
