PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2016 (Columbus): Mabwati made 17 appearances (six starts) for Crew SC in 2016, with nine coming at left midfield, seven coming at right midfield and one at central attacking midfield. He came on as a second-half substitute at Portland (March 6) and made substitute appearances in the next six regular-season matches. He played 45 minutes during a start in the international friendly against Veracruz (May 11) and notched an assist. He made his first start of the season at left midfield against Colorado (May 14), where he scored his first goal of the campaign. He received a call-up from the DR Congo National Team, earning his 17th cap in a start in a friendly against Romania (May 25). Started at right midfield against D.C. United (July 16), vs. Orlando (July 23) and at Toronto (July 31). Started at central attacking midfield at LA (September 3). He did not make an appearance in the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
2015 (Columbus): Mabwati made nine appearances (one start) in his debut season with Crew SC (four appearances at right midfield, four at left midfield, and one appearance where he spent time at both) after officially being added to the roster on July 8, 2015 after the expiration of his loan with Spanish side Osasuna. Prior to joining Columbus, he made 30 league appearances with three assists for the Segunda Division side in the 2014-15 season. Upon his arrival in Central Ohio, he was selected for his first matchday 18 with Columbus at Chicago (July 15). He made his club and League debut by coming on at right midfield vs. Toronto FC (July 25). The attacker scored his first Black & Gold goal with a substitute appearance at left midfield against New York City FC (August 19), later making his first Black & Gold start at NYCFC (August 29). He received a call-up by DR Congo ahead of a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Central African Republic, missing Crew SC’s match against FC Dallas (September 6) while with DR Congo. In the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs, Cedrick made four appearances, notching one assist, the series-winning assist on Kei Kamara's goal in the second leg vs. Montreal (November 8). Mabwati did not make an appearance in the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, joining the club following the conclusion of the club’s tournament run.
2014-15 (Real Betis/Osasuna): Cedrick began the season with Real Betis in the Segunda Division after the club were relegated the season prior. On August 28, 2014, he transferred to fellow Segunda Division club Osasuna, where he made 30 appearances, contributing three assists. He notched his first helper as part of a two-assist performance on September 21, 2014 against RCD Mallorca. He finished his loan at Osasuna before joining the Black & Gold officially on July 8, 2015.
2013-14 (Real Betis): On July 1, 2013, Cedrick bought out his contract with Numancia and moved to Primera Division side Real Betis. He made 23 appearances in his debut La Liga campaign (12 starts), recording one assist, which came in his debut appearance on August 18, 2013 against Real Madrid. He also made 11 Europa League appearances for the club, scoring two goals, with one coming in qualification against FK Jablonec and the other coming in the Group Stage against HNK Rijeka. He featured in the club's run to the Round of 16, starting all of the club's Knockout Stage matches against Rubin Kazan and Sevilla. He also made one Copa del Rey appearance.
2012-13 (Numancia): Cedrick made 37 appearances for Numancia, scoring three goals as the Soria-based club finished in 12th. He also added nine assists on the campaign, including two separate one-goal, one-assist performances: on August 19, 2012 against Sporting Gijon and on February 17, 2013 versus Xerez CD. He wore the armband for a February 3, 2013 match against Recreativo Huelva.
2011-12 (Numancia): Cedrick continued as a mainstay in the Numancia side, making 31 appearances (17 starts), scoring one goal. He helped Numancia to a second-consecutive 10th-place finish, ensuring safety in the Segunda Division. He also made two appearances in the Copa del Rey.
2010-11 (Atletico Madrid/Numancia): On August 1, 2010, Cedrick was loaned to Segunda Division side Numancia from Atletico Madrid, where he made 40 appearances in his first season, scoring a single-season career best nine goals. He scored his first Segunda Division tally on November 21, 2010 against Granada and recorded his first multi-goal performance on January 8, 2011 against UD Las Palmas. He also added one Copa del Rey appearance.
2008-10 (Atletico Madrid B): Cedrick began his career in the youth ranks of Atletico Madrid, where he played two seasons for the B-team in the Third Division of Spanish soccer, scoring four goals over 54 appearances. The winger also made his Atletico Madrid senior team debut with a Copa del Rey start against Recreativo Huelva.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Cedrick has made 17 caps for DR Congo all-time. The midfielder made his senior team debut with the Democratic Republic of the Congo on September 6, 2014 as part of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualification. He made six starts in Group D qualification, helping DR Congo take nine points in six matches and earn the final spot in the tournament by virtue of being the highest-ranked third-place team. Cedrick notched one assist in qualification, on September 10, 2014 against his future Crew SC teammate Kei Kamara and Sierra Leone.
In the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, Cedrick played in each of his side's three Group Stage matches, making two starts and notching one assist. He helped the team reach the Knockout Stage of the tournament. He appeared for DR Congo on June 14, 2015 in a 2017 AFCON qualification match against Madagascar.
He earned his first call-up by DR Congo since joining Crew SC on August 28, 2015 ahead of a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against the Central African Republic, where he made his 14th cap. He earned his 15th cap by starting an international friendly against Nigeria (October 8) held in Belgium, helping DR Congo to a 2-0 win.
The attacker earned another call-up by DR Congo on November 10, 2015 ahead of CAF Second Round qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. In the first leg of the home-and-home two-legged series against Burundi, Cedrick earned his 16th cap for his country in a 3-2 win (November 12). DR Congo ended up advancing following a 2-2 draw in the second leg.
Following an additional call-up on May 23, 2016, Cedrick earned his 17th cap by starting in an international friendly against Romania (May 25). He appeared in the matchday squad for DR Congo's AFCON qualifier against Madagascar (June 5), but did not appear.
Columbus Crew SC acquired Cedrick Mabwati via a transfer from Real Betis in Spain on January 30, 2015. Following the conclusion of his loan with Osasuna, he was officially added to the Black & Gold roster on July 8, 2015, following receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa.

Cedrick is a fan of rap music and lists Wiz Khalifa as his favorite rapper. He likes all sorts of movies but enjoys romantic movies the most. Growing up, he was a fan of Ronaldinho and a fan of Barcelona before he joined Atletico Madrid. If he were not a professional soccer player, he would like to try his hand at acting.
