Performance Columbus and the Crew teamed up in an effort to make an impact in the Columbus community through youth soccer and volunteerism. On Tuesday, October 19th, Columbus Crew and Performance Columbus hosted the Gladden Community House end-of-season soccer celebration! Soccer programming was led by Tim McCarthy of the Crew’s Youth Business Development and Camps department, volunteers from Performance Columbus, Crew Alumnus Frankie Hejduk, as well as a special assist from Crew mascots, S.C. and Crew Cat. Families had the opportunity to take photos with the 2020 MLS Cup and each athlete received a replica 2020 MLS Cup ring, a mini-ball, and an individual-sized Donato’s pizza. The celebration continued when families were invited to cheer on the Crew at Lower.Com Field on November 7. As part of the matchday experience, families were provided complimentary tickets and food vouchers.
