- On June 1, 2016, he became the youngest Black & Gold player to ever score in regular-season match by scoring in his MLS debut against the Philadelphia Union. He was 19-years-old at the time.
- Martinez earned his first cap with the Panama National Team on February 18, 2016, when he came on as a substitute in a match against El Salvador.
