On Friday, November 15th, the Columbus Crew and Rumpke teamed up for America Recycles Day. Crew midfielder Sean Zawadzki, ambassador Frankie Hejduk, and Crew Cat led a team of volunteers in a community clean-up hosted at Good Land to help beautify the Franklinton area and promote recycling awareness across Columbus. The group collected more than 40 bags of trash to be recycled.
“We are passionate about collaborating with partners to find ways to serve the city of Columbus,” said Justin Younghans, VP of Corporate Partnerships for the Crew. “Rumpke understands the importance of giving back to the community and we appreciate the opportunity to help clean our city with them.”
America Recycles Day is a national observance dedicated to promoting recycling across the nation. The Crew and Rumpke have come together on the holiday for the last four years to help spread the word on how recycling helps communities reduce waste, save energy, and conserve resources. The Crew support Rumpke in their mission to provide exceptional waste and recycling solutions to communities with commitment to safety and service of the environment.
