Eddie Hertsenberg — U15 Head Coach

Eddie Hertsenberg is the U15 Head Coach for the Columbus Crew Academy. Hertsenberg joined the Crew as an Academy Scout and Video Analyst in 2021.

In previous seasons with the Crew Academy, Hertsenberg served as the U15/U19 Assistant Coach from 2022-2023 and as the U15/U17 Assistant Coach for the 2023-2024 season, before becoming the interim U17 Head Coach for the 2024 spring season.

Hertsenberg holds a USSF ‘A-Youth’ License, USSF 'A-Senior' License, UEFA 'C' license (DFB), as well as a Master's Degree in Sport Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

Prior to joining the Crew, Hertsenberg served as an Assistant Coach for the Ohio Dominican University Men’s soccer program from 2021-2022.

Hertsenberg previously worked with the Utah Royals Development Academy and Real Salt Lake-AZ in a variety of roles from 2015-2020.Hertsenberg resides in Columbus with his wife and two children.

As a player, Hertsenberg collected experience at the professional level and abroad. After a collegiate career at Ohio Dominican University and Cincinnati State Community College, he was a member of the Dayton Dutch Lions USL Pro Team and spent time in Germany with FC Deisenhofen e.V. and FC Ismaning e.V. He played ten seasons of professional indoor soccer and had a stint with the Columbus Crew in 2008.Hertsenberg resides in Columbus with his wife and two children.
