Chris Rogers - U18 Head Coach

Chris Rogers joins the Columbus Crew as U18 Head Coach in July 2024.

Rogers joins the Columbus Crew from Barca Residency Academy, where he served as the U16/U17 MLS Next Academy Head Coach between 2021-2024. He also served as the Assistant Academy Director – supporting the management and operations of the academy.

In addition to his coaching roles, Rogers has served as a Coach Educator for US Soccer since 2018, while in the process obtaining his Coach Educator Licenses.

Rogers holds the USSF A, UEFA A, and UEFA Elite Youth A Licenses. Rogers also holds a BSc Degree in Sport & Exercise Science.

Rogers previously worked as an Academy Head Coach at LAFC SoCal, coaching within the US Soccer Development Academy system from 2019-2021. While in southern California, he also served as a Head Coach for Cal South ODP between 2016-2020.

As a player, Rogers played for Newport County A.F.C in the English Football pyramid from 2001-2004. He then went on to play in the Welsh Premier League between 2005-2007. Rogers has also represented his country of Wales at the youth level.
